award of change

the award of change is an award for individuals or organizations 
who instigate change within existing structures of society.

the award of change stands for the courage to reconsider mechanisms 
and rules that are taken for granted and to reshape them so that a 
life in peace, freedom and social justice is possible while at the 
same time taking into account the results for the environment and 
following generations. the prerequisites for this, however, seem to 
be increasingly endangered by the interests of global economy and 
national and international politics.

therefore it is not only a question of furthering a restructuring 
in politics, economy and society, but also of honouring changes in 
the individual in his or her immediate environment.

the award of change is a project of lucia dellefant and comprises the 
silver and golden award of change. 

with this project the artist lucia dellefant is changing the conventional 
way of awarding. usualy artists receive prices - they do not grant them.
